Breakfast After the Bell Clears Legislative Hurdle!

The Joint Committee on Education this week voted favorably on an Act Regarding Breakfast After the Bell, which will increase access to school breakfast for more than 150,000 children in need across the Commonwealth.

The Greater Boston Food Bank is leading the Rise and Shine Massachusetts coalition in support of Senate Bill 242 and House Bill 327, which now will move to the next step in the Legislative process.

We owe a BIG thank you to our bill sponsors, Senator Sal DiDomenico and Representative Aaron Vega, and the Joint Committee on Education members, especially Chair Sonia Chang-Diaz and Chair Alice Peisch.
