Senate Ways and Means votes out S.2441! Now S.2626!
This morning, the Senate Ways and Means Committee just voted on bill S.2441 ‘An Act Regarding Breakfast After the Bell’ favorably! The bill has been renumbered to S.2626 and will go to the Senate floor for a vote on Thursday, July 26!
HUGE thank you to Chair Karen Spilka and the Senate Ways and Means Committee members.
This significant step in the legislative process means we are closer to providing access to school breakfast to more than 150,000 children in need across the Commonwealth. Thank you to our bill sponsors, Senator Sal DiDomenico and Representative Aaron Vega.
We are very close to passing this bill by July 31st, but we will need ALL of your help to cross it over the finish line in the next few days.
